So, I thought it might be helpful if I shared my process of mapping out my gear grid for my character on FW.

Things you will need:



  • A notebook (I tend to write everything out. I have a whole notebook dedicated to forsaken world.)
    Pen
    Gem syllabus (Gem and their functions and gem placement in gear)



Your gem layout should be based on your character's class. It will change many times, so don't get discouraged if your layout doesn't work out the first time.

Here is my gear grid layout for my character Orcuriel.
Race: Kndred

I prefer a defensive build where I can still do some DPS while being able to heal myself. I am a blood vamp and it works for me!
